After I receive your inquiry, I'll send over a ton of information for you and then we can set up a time to meet to make sure that we're a great fit! After our meeting, you'll receive a proposal from me that includes the contract and payment plan. All that's required to reserve your date is a signed contract and paid deposit! After that, we are official!
For all sessions, you'll receive your gallery within 2-4 weeks from your session date. For weddings, your gallery will be ready 8-10 weeks from your date. I also always try to send over sneak peeks within 48 hours from your wedding or session date! Please note that for weddings, sneak peeks may take slightly longer as I often have 2 or possibly 3 weddings in a row.
I get this question a lot, most often because many people take photos right after they've gotten engaged. The biggest reason that I am such a believer in engagement sessions is that they give us the opportunity to meet each other prior to your wedding day! It's like a trial run where you get to feel what it's like in front of the camera without it being the stress of your wedding day.
I actually had to go through this myself! My husband and I had to postpone our June 2020 wedding because of Covid and I know how difficult it is. Because of this, I try to be as accommodating to couples as I possibly can be! If you need to reschedule due to Covid, your deposit and any money paid will be transferred to your new date (just please reach out to me before picking your new date with your venue)!
Wedding payments are split into 3 equal payments - the first one is due at the time of booking, the second is due midway between when you booked and your wedding date and the last one is due two weeks before your wedding date. For sessions, a $100 deposit is required to hold your date and the remainder of your session fee is due one day after your session.
A second shooter is another photographer that I will bring along with me to help capture the day from different angles. A second shooter is particularly helpful if you and your partner are getting ready in separate locations or if you're having a larger wedding. I only include photographers who shoot in a similar style to me and everything will still be edited in my signature Alaina Elizabeth style!
I will literally travel anywhere! I absolutely love traveling and I get SO excited to shoot in a new location. I always include complimentary travel for locations that are within 1 hr from me in Hillsdale, NJ (07642). Beyond that, travel fees are $50 an hour and $75 for NYC and the outer boroughs. All travel to Philadelphia is subject to a $125 fee. If your wedding is 2 hours or more away, let's chat about your specific needs!
She was always available if I had questions, but usually she was answering my questions before I even had to ask. For our wedding, she took insanely beautiful portraits but also the best candids. Nothing felt forced and all the photos are breathtakingly beautiful. I cannot speak more highly about how grateful I am that she was our photographer.
She takes photos so beautiful that sometimes I cannot believe it's us in them. Working with her was amazing - she is incredibly polite, sweet and very well organized and knowledgeable.
planning conversations over several months, and before and after saying our I Do's, our deepest gratitude would even go to the quality of Alaina's presence. We'll never forget how she grounded us when we were preparing for possible rain two days before the wedding. Alaina, you are truly remarkable with and without your camera!
Within seconds of discovering Alaina's Instagram profile, we loved her way of illuminating subjects and emotions in her photos while using natural light as a source. From our first consultation, the
